It's summertime! For my US customers, I hope you had a wonderful Father's Day and Juneteenth as well. I got to go hang with my dad in Louisiana recently, and I drank up the humidity and the together time. I'm looking forward to the 4th of July. What about you?

I have had enough inquiries about algae control this week that it warranted an extra blog. 

If you’re looking for an all-natural way to reduce algae in your waterers or your ponds, we have a fantastic solution for you that is safe for people, animals, plants, fish, and birds. 

Our most highly recommended and cost-effective product is our All Purpose Pond & Water Cleaner that handles up to 2500 gallons. It comes with six-months worth of treatment and a reusable dispenser. While that may be much larger than some need, we have smaller options as well. We always recommend over-treating and sizing up when there is water flowing in and out. So, at the very least, if you have a 100 gallon stock tank, go up to the 250 gallon product. 

We have products to treat from 1 gallon up to 2 million gallons. It's not possible to over-treat your water, as our products aren't harmful, but it is possible to under-treat. All of the Healthy Ponds products are designed to last for 30 days. The spheres have a patented time-release feature that allows the continuous release of bacteria and enzymes over a 30-day period. Bacteria normally live for 7-10 days, so the time-release is very important. This also means that the sphere will need to be replaced because the bacteria will not be effective after 30 days.
